PROFHILO

Our skin gradually loses its firmness and elasticity over time, showing signs of laxity and aging. Profhilo treatment is one of the most innovative and award-winning developments in the field of plastic surgery, that goes beyond traditional dermal fillers. It does not simply add volume, but fundamentally remodels skin quality from within.

What exactly is Profhilo and how does it work?

Profhilo is an advanced skin booster with a unique, patented formulation of hybrid hyaluronic acid. It contains one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid on the market (64 mg/2 ml), combining high (H-HA) and low (L-HA) molecular weight without the use of chemical cross-linking agents. It acts at depth, gradually releasing hyaluronic acid into the dermis. This slow release stimulates the skin’s natural bio-remodeling process, activating collagen and elastin production (by stimulating fibroblasts) and supporting adipocyte viability. The result is multi-layered tissue remodeling, deep hydration, and visible skin tightening.

In which areas is Profhilo applied?

Profhilo is particularly effective in treating areas with skin laxity and loss of firmness, as it diffuses evenly throughout the tissues. It is indicated for:

  • Face (especially the lower face and cheeks)
  • Neck
  • Décolletage
  • Hands
  • Upper arms
  • Knees

It is an ideal treatment for improving elasticity and skin tightening in these areas, without creating an “overfilled” or artificial appearance

What are the advantages of Profhilo?

Profhilo treatment offers several key benefits that make it a leading anti-aging option:

  • Increased Firmness & Elasticity: Restores lost skin tone.
  • Enhanced Hydration: Provides deep hydration and radiance to the skin.
  • Facial Lifting Effect: Helps redefine facial contours.
  • Natural Results: Due to its diffusion profile, it enhances natural beauty without distorting facial features.
  • Improved Texture & Tone: The skin becomes smoother and more even.
  • Minimal Pain/Downtime: The procedure is quick (approximately 30 minutes), with immediate return to daily activities.
  • Long-lasting Results: Effects last from 6 to 12 months.

What is the Profhilo treatment procedure?

Profhilo treatment is quick, minimally invasive, and performed in a clinical setting:

  1. Preparation: A topical anesthetic cream is applied to ensure a comfortable, pain-free experience.
  2. Injection Technique (BAP Technique): Dr. Floros uses the specially developed BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique. Profhilo is injected into only 5 predefined, strategic points on each side of the face (a total of 10 points). These points are scientifically selected to allow optimal and uniform diffusion of the product throughout the skin.
  3. Duration: The procedure typically lasts approximately 10–20 minutes.

How many Profhilo sessions are required for optimal results?

To achieve a complete and long-lasting result, 2 sessions are usually recommended.

  • Interval: The sessions are performed with an interval of approximately 3 to 4 weeks between them.
  • Additional Sessions: In certain areas, such as the neck, or in cases of more advanced signs of aging, a third session may also be recommended.

When are the results of Profhilo visible?

The results of Profhilo are visible immediately and continue to improve progressively:

  • Immediate Result: Facial contours may appear improved from the very first day, with the skin looking more radiant and hydrated.
  • Full Result: The visible improvement in skin tightening, elasticity, and wrinkle smoothing becomes fully apparent after the completion of both sessions, as collagen production requires time.

Duration: Results last from 6 to 12 months or longer, depending on the individual and lifestyle factors.

Who is the ideal candidate for Profhilo?

Profhilo treatment is ideal for men and women seeking a natural and effective rejuvenation. It is suitable for:

  • Individuals with Early Signs of Aging: Ideal for prevention and treatment of mild wrinkles and improvement of skin tone, typically from the age of 30 and above.
  • Individuals with Mature Skin: Suitable for skin requiring intensive bio-remodeling and tightening, especially over the age of 40.
  • Those Seeking Natural Rejuvenation: An excellent option for individuals who want hydration and tightening without added volume or alteration of facial features.
  • Individuals with Skin Laxity in Neck, Hands, and Body: One of the few treatments effectively applied beyond the face.

Can Profhilo be combined with other anti-aging treatments?

Yes, Profhilo can be effectively combined with other anti-aging treatments for enhanced and more comprehensive results. Indicatively, it can be combined with:

  • Botulinum Toxin / Hyaluronic Acid (Fillers): For targeted treatment of dynamic wrinkles or restoration of lost volume in specific areas.
  • Laser & Other Therapies: To improve overall skin quality and texture.
  • Surgical Procedures: It can be used as an adjunctive treatment to maintain skin quality following plastic surgery procedures.

Are there any risks or side effects associated with Profhilo treatment?

Profhilo is considered a very safe treatment, mainly due to its high purity and the absence of chemical cross-linking agents.

  • Common Side Effects: There may be a mild stinging sensation during injection or slight edema (swelling) and ecchymosis (bruising) at the injection sites, which are temporary and resolve quickly.
  • Contraindications: The treatment is not indicated for patients with autoimmune or bleeding disorders, infectious diseases, as well as for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.
